Retreats (Shibirs)

A retreat (shibir) is a very rare opportunity to live spiritually with like-minded souls for three days; to not be surrounded by technology; to live in total harmony with each other and our surroundings; to live by maitri (friendship), karuna (compassion), pramod (appreciation) and madhyastha (equanimity).

Activities include Jain Dharma workshops, walks in the surrounding countryside, reflecting on certain questions/topics, as well as cooking Jain Vegan food throughout the weekend.

Young Jains have been to Cotswold and Gloucestershire in recent years. In 2012, Young Jains also went to Antwerp, Belgium for the first time where puja was performed by all thirty delegates.
