Constitution

You may recall at the last AGM, the Executive Committee was tasked by the members to undertake a review of the constitution. The reason being that the last review was carried out ten years ago, and now was a good time to take stock to ensure the constitution was fit for purpose.

In light of this, the current EC and NEC reviewed the constitution and are recommending the following amendments to be made to the constitution:

1. Membership clause:

  1. Change annual membership subscription to relevant membership subscription.
  2. Include donation (in addition to subscription)
  3. These changes will give the EC more flexibility on its membership models.

The proposed amendment then reads as:

Membership of the Charity shall be open to:-

(i) individuals who are interested in furthering the work of the Charity and who have paid any relevant membership subscription or donation laid down from time to time by the Executive Committee.

2. Neutrality:

Replace all references of chairman to chairperson. This change is designed to bring the constitution up to date.

Members will be asked to vote on these changes at the upcoming AGM on Sunday 22 April 2018 before these changes are incorporated.
